To Receive this gift, you must:

1. Realize that Everyone is a Sinner - For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3:23) No one is good enough to go to Heaven on his own.  No matter how much good we do, we still fall short.

2. Realize the Penalty for Sin - For the wages of sin is death... (Romans 6:23) The penalty for our sin is eternal death in a place called Hell.

3. Believe Christ Died for You - But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we  were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) Christ's great love for us was shown when He died on the Cross to our debt.

4. Trust Christ Alone As Your Savior - "...But the gift of God is eternalk life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)  Everlasting life is a gift offered freely to those who will call upon Jesus by faith.

5. Now ask Jesus Christ To Be Your Savior 

"Dear God, I realize I am a sinner and I deserve to be condemned to Hell.  Thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ to save me.  Lord Jesus, I believe that you gave your life for me on the cross.  I believe that You died and rose again for my salvation.  I now repent of my sins and receive you in my heart as my Saviour and Lord.  I accept your gift of eternal life.  In Jesus' name, Amen."

6. You are now saved - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) 

7. You are now forgiven of your sins - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  (I John 1:9)

8. You now have no condemnation - "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit". 

9. You are now a child of God - "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"
